Registration Open for Second Semester Classes


Sure Foundation is opening registration for Health and Literature classes for second semester!

Register by January 9th, when Sure Foundation resumes classes.

Health - The high school level Health class is a one semester class, beginning on January 16th, and is worth a half credit for high school. The class is open to students in Grades 8-12. Students will learn about nutrition, fitness, mental and personal safety, including safety on the web, drug abuse, infectious and noninfectious diseases, and how it all ties into the growth and development of the human body.

Literature - The Literature class is a full year class high school class, but students may join for second semester only. Students will become knowledgeable and discerning readers, and will learn about writing fiction. We will read, discuss, and study novels chosen for their colliding worlds, literary value and potential to help students make choices from a godly perspective.

This is a great opportunity for new families to try out Sure Foundation for a semester, and being considered a Returning Family when registration opens for 2020-2021 classes. (Returning Families may register two weeks before Open Registration.)

Winter Weather

Winter Weather Thursday, January 20th may be a late start or snow day, as we expect winter weather! We will NOT follow Carroll County Public Schools, so please watch your email for an update by 8am. If we have a late start, we will follow the modified schedule sent out by email earlier today. January 20th is the start of second semester at Sure Foundation. Spotlight on High School Writing and Literature

Writing Non-Fiction (High School) -  Power in Your Hands Creative Writing (High School)  - Writing Fiction (in High School) Literature (High School) -  Illuminating Literature: When Worlds Collide Sure Foundation is offering three English classes for high school students in the 2022-2023 school year. Need more information to decide which one is right? Here's our spotlight on these classes and what to expect: Writing Non-fiction (High School) This is a full year, one credit course for high school students. The class time is 1-1/2 hours each week, and students will have homework and writing assignments to do at home. The course includes twenty major writing assignments of varying lengths: opinion essays, persuasive essays, a position paper, newspaper writing, biography, compare and contrast, narration essays, and more. Students will learn about specific forms of nonfiction writing, develop competence and confidence in writing, learn organization skills for notes and writing, develop
